The Govt. of India on Wednesday, announced the Padma awards for 2023. It gives us great joy and pride to share with you that Prof. Prakash Chandra Sood, Honorary Professor, Dept. of Physics, has been selected for the Padma Shri award for his distinguished service and contribution to the field of Literature and Education.

A distinguished academician and research scientist, Prof. P C Sood is an ardent devotee of Bhagawan Baba and His Teachings. He has been associated with the Dept. of Physics, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning for over 25 years, and has even co-authored over 100 research papers with his students from across campuses. His illustrious career spanning over seven decades has won him several national and international honours and awards for his significant contribution to the advancement of scientific temper, specifically in the field of Nuclear Physics, Allied Physics, and Physics Education.
