Welcome to the digital version of Vidyullekha, the official Sathya Sai Alumni magazine.

Vidyullekha (streak of lightning) as the name suggests, has endeavored to be a written message from the Lord which has the impact of lightning. We are all united by the Love of Bhagawan. However, we do need to stay connected, as Swami says, ‘if you look to Me, I look to you’. Vidyullekha caters to this need, to help alumni stay connected.

Since its inception in 2007, each edition was lovingly blessed by Bhagawan. Inspired by His Love, the magazine has since been striving to help us stay connected with Him, within us.

History

Reaching such a lofty objective is a perennial process of evolution; and the journey so far has been no less wondrous. Legend has it that many years ago, Bhagawan Himself used to write in a magazine, under the same name ‘Vidyullekha’.

A need was felt in 2007 to have a magazine as a medium of communication, with Bhagawan as the thread, binding uniting His students as one. The idea was to present to Him, the work done by His students with their eternal connect with Him, through a regular publication.

Further, the stories would inspire devotion and a sense of service to society among the alumni. When Bhagawan was approached with the permission to start such a magazine using the name of a magazine once He had written for, He said, “Tell my boys they can use the name and restart the magazine. They can do whatever they want.” With His love and confidence, brothers immediately set to work, the first Vidyullekha emerged and was offered at His Lotus Feet in just 14 days!

Ever since, it’s been a memorable journey…What was most gratifying and inspiring was that Bhagawan would go through every issue personally! The magazine itself has evolved over the years in terms of quality of content, look and feel.
